I am guided by four values
It is very easy to follow what consider as the norm, although often the norm isn’t necessary represent the best solution. Staying curious and asking what if is a key starting point towards finding a better design solution.
Our imagination allows us to get away from various strict design constraints which often corner our thinking towards the common solution. To dare to imagine a better solution no matter how unlikely it is, is fundamental in my design process.
The best ideas will lose their value if they can’t be implemented in the real world. These ideas will have to be integrated with thorough knowledge and analysis of every single projects and its own unique condition.
I believe that good design will stand the test of time. Although good design often means more substantial initial cost, The added value of good design would easily overcome the initial cost.
